Skilled Health is a Registered Provider for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Skilled Health’s caring and experienced Allied Health Professionals will work collaboratively with participants to achieve person-centred care. We recognise the importance of empowerment in the design of plans so that individual choices can be made to maximise their potential.
We can provide services in-home, work or center-based, and can also attend appointments in community settings such as workplaces or schools.
Our Occupational Therapists assess level of functioning in 3 core areas including; Self-care, Productivity and Leisure.
Our Services cover:
- Development delays
- Gross and fine motor difficulties
- Sensory and perceptual difficulties
- Home modifications
- Assistive equipment prescription & training
- Early Childhood Early Intervention (children aged 0-6 years) for Plan-managed and Self-managed Participants
- Therapy for children aged 7 and over (for NDIA-managed, Plan-managed & Self-managed participants)
Our Physiotherapists support individuals to improve mobility and manage musculoskeletal concerns such as:
- Back pain
- Posture problems
Equipment may also be recommended and incorporated with activities to improve independence.
Our Physiotherapist will work collaboratively with participants to set goals and work towards achieving them.
Our Exercise Physiologists support individuals with specialised physical activity recommendations, tailored exercise program interventions and health education.
Exercise Physiology services are accessed to ensure the management and prevention of current chronic conditions.
Psychology & Rehab Counselling
Our Psychologists conduct IQ testing to assess intellectual potential.
Our Rehab Counsellors conduct Vocational Assessments to determine suitable job options based on the individual’s physical and psychological capability.
